The game is broken up into three separate parts, each with six stages. Since each of the Raiders has specific attributes, some may be better to use than others in a given situation. Finally, when Sparks picks up an item, he gets it in double. Doc has the ability to drain energy from rocks. Bandit goes faster in the "Rapid Rider" and takes no damage from water. Axle drives ground vehicles faster and can automatically repair any vehicle he is controlling. Jet can pilot air vehicles faster than the others and is able to jump far. Slugs, spiders, rock monsters, lava, geysers, and other obstacles will bar you from success.Įach member you control has his or her own special ability. However, there are plenty of ordeals in your way. During your missions, you will be required to rescue trapped rock raiders, collect green energy crystals and red energy crystals, and make it to the teleporter safely. Inside the planet, you control 5 different team members through 18 stages. Since your ship's been damaged by hurling rocks in outer space, it requires a recharge to resume its running condition. Gameplay Your Lego team is searching an alien planet for "energy crystals". With a couple ideas borrowed from Blast Corps (on Nintendo 64), this unique action game works out better than one may think. Rock Raiders takes the fun toys that the world knows well and plots them underground in dangerous territory.

Instead of using their own imaginations, which is what Lego's were all about in the first place, kids have movie licenses and special edition Lego sets to do it for them. Nowadays, kids are spoiled with fancy "Star Wars" Lego's and "underwater adventure" Lego's. We played with Lego's, and boy, did we have fun! Back in the olden days, all we had were the multi-colored basic sets. Doing it in three stages. We all did it as kids, and some of the more strange adults still do it.
Even as Matt has to travel all over the Great White North for work, they are still planning another quite ambitious MOC together: “One thing I really want us to collaborate on is building our home city of Winnipeg. Now that their rock-raiding childhood memory is forever captured in LEGO, Sean and Matt don’t plan on slowing down with their brotherly collabs. I’m gone often and sadly cannot fully devote as much time to the hobby.” Sean will be welcome anytime to come over and build, especially since my career has me traveling all over Canada for my job. That will then be the official home of our LEGO.
So we are in the process of moving that all over to my new place. Matt: “I thankfully just bought a house and have moved out. As the collection-and we-have grown, we have often been asked how we would split it up.” We have a dedicated LEGO space in our parents’ house and it is slowly getting too small for our collection, but we use the space as best as we can. Sean: “As brothers, we share our collection. I asked them how they share their collection… perhaps have turns on even and odd days or every second weekend? Sharing is a very strange concept to me-I can barely share a set with my eldest son let alone an entire collection. Matt and Sean also share all their LEGO if you can believe that-Matt is 25 and a junior geologist and Sean is 22 and an architecture student.
